Virginia Island - Varese
Virginia Island is one of the most important archeological sites in Varese and has been considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011.
The peculiarity of the island, lies in the fact that, despite hosting a small Prehistoric Museum, is itself a museum and as a restricted archaeological and environmental area, cars are not allowed there so is only reachable by boat!
History, landscape and archeology create on Virginia Island a particular balance of unrepeatable beauty.
