What to do in Laveno Mombello?
MIDeC (Museo Internazionale del Design Ceramico) is a specialised museum that collects the ceramic production of Laveno’s area, from the middle ‘800 until the middle ‘900.
Inside the museum you can admire the ceramic masterpieces that made Laveno famous in the world, among these the products of Guido Andlovitz, one of the main maker of the Italian ceramic history, and Antonia Campi, one of the most eclectic and creative designers and ceramists.
For ceramic lovers MIDeC is not only a museum but also an interactive laboratory to acquire tecniques and competences about ceramic!
Since 1971 the museum has been hosted in the sixteenth-century Perabò palace in Cerro di Laveno.
